Notice of Holy Matrimony & Banns Request Form
Formal notice of intention of marriage and application for publication of marriage banns in church.
Guidelines & Requirements
- Notification must be submitted to the Vicar at least one month prior to the scheduled date of solemnization.
- Both the bride and groom must submit:
- Certificate of pre-marital counselling approved by the Mar Thoma Church
- Free-state certificate / No Objection Certificate from their respective home parishes
- Proof of age and baptism certificate
- Banns will be announced during three consecutive Sunday worship services prior to the wedding.
